Another game for miss Emma. She seems to be really enjoying cheer leading. This week the game started at 8:30 am. Early but at least not hot. Lance kept yelling out "Go Emma Martin!" She loved it. She would giggle.
After the game we headed to Splash Island for probably the last time of the summer. It was not crowded at all, I am guessing because the water was pretty cold already. We jumped off the diving board, then hit the slides for a bit and then the sand area.
To end our perfect Saturday, Lance and I had our date night. We ate at this yummy tamale shop, if you live in Indiana and you do not know about this place ask me about it because it is awesome. My new favorite place. Then we headed to Sam's, romantic I know. We were looking at their TV's because one of ours is about to blow and computers as well. We headed over to the furniture isle where we made ourselves comfortable on their recliners. We sat and chatted for 45 minutes. Discussing things we could do to our home to make it more ours. People must have thought we were crazy.
Then we drove to one of our favorite parks that was having a band play that night. It was super romantic. The weather was high 70's-perfect. We walked the paths and talked for close to 3 hours. We talked about our kids and how proud we were of them. We talked about concerns we had. We talked about solutions. It felt so nice to reconnect after a busy week. So many times we sit down to talk during the week and it's funny how many interruptions we get. Thank goodness for date night once again.
