Our weekend- Conference/Parade/ Soccer

Saturday morning we woke and went to the Plainfield parade. Emma's cheer group was riding in it. It was super chilly.
Bonus: We got so much candy, two huge grocery sacks full.

Lance and Ethan went to the church and cleaned up the outside so they were not able to be with us.

Later that afternoon Ethan had a soccer game. Each week he gets better and better. It sure is fun to watch him play. He only has a few more games.

Lance is hilarious to watch at these games. Soccer was his favorite sport growing up. He can hardly sit still and keep his coaching ideas to himself. I hope he gets the chances to coach soon. Here he is during the game giving Ethan a few tips.
This weekend around our home was super special because it was conference weekend. LDS conference is a big deal to us as Latter Day Saints or "Mormons". It only happens twice a year that our beloved prophet and leaders of the church speak to us regarding concerns and direction to everyday life. Anything from receiving personal revelation, faith, raising children, family life. I gain so much direction and peace from the words spoken here.

Usually on Sundays, we attend a 3 hour block of meetings with other LDS members that live close by. But on conference weekend we stay home in our jammies and watch conference on TV as it is broadcast from Salt Lake City.  The girls helped me make cinnamon rolls for us to eat on Sunday morning. YUMMY!!!!
