One of my favorite things about this home we live in is the neighborhood. My neighbors are such nice families. It is a bonus that our kids are similar ages. It helps knowing that you have other mom's keeping an eye out for your kids.
There was this one time that Lance and I were out on a date and Gavin bumped his head and it started bleeding pretty bad. We thought he might need stitches. Abby did a good job but our neighbor ran over and helped. When one of us is painting or decorating we will call each other and get the others opinion. We will have paint swatches out comparing them. Several of us are into photography so we chat about that often. Just yesterday, I went out to my car and the battery was dead. I called my neighbor to ask her if she had jumper cables. She wasn't sure by quickly suggested "You can take my car." I did end up using her car and was grateful for her help.
Having good neighbors has been a dream of mine.
Last Friday night my neighbor Sarah (who also has a daughter named Emma) invited us over for dinner with our other neighbors. We were supposed to play games but were just too tired. We had a great time chatting.
