Because of the "Double Red" flags, (water unsafe to swim in) we had to improvise a little. The first day we stayed on the beach and played in the sand. It was not too relaxing because the kids kept inching out into the water. Us adults were a little nervous and decided to go shopping for a bit and then head back to the hotel and swim. The kids didn't seem too upset with that. They just wanted to be together.
The second day we woke up and saw that there were double reds again. Bummer! We were able to find a state park close by that had an inlet bay that was considered safe. It was beautiful and it was the beach. We weren't too picky. We did have a little lightning and ran but only for a brief 15-20 minutes. It was kind of nice and cool.
Aimee and David are expecting their 3 baby. Aimee just found out that she is having a girl and made the announcement to us there at the beach. David didn't even know the sex.
Kate had two loose teeth at the beginning of the trip. She started wiggling them like crazy. She knew the tooth fairy would bring her money and this girl will do anything for money. It is kind of alarming, actually. She was determined to get them both out. She did it! The first one she lost on the beach. She was eating a granola bar and came up to me asking "Is my tooth gone???" The second came out at the hotel while eating breakfast.

We had so much fun. We are already looking forward to a time when we can go back.
