Monday night we made gingerbread "haunted houses" for family night. We bought them in Texas and never got around to it. The kids love making these each year. Half the candy is gone before they are even done. It's the memory, right?
Tuesday night we went downtown to the children's museum to visit the haunted house. Kate had participated in an art contest at her school and had been awarded "Honorable Mention" from all the kindergartens int he area. Her picture was on display there at the museum. We were so proud of her!
Wednesday Gavin had a class party and parade at his preschool.
Later that night we bundled up and began trick or treating with our friends in the neighborhood. Our neighborhood was perfect for loading up on lots of candy. Emma ran around with her girlfriend Mara, Lance and Ethan stayed at home watching scary movies and passing out candy. I walked around the neighborhood with Kate and Gavin as well as some of our neighbors. It was a great night and honestly not too cold.
Ethan was our official face painter. So thankful her was willing to do it. I love Ethan's face in the picture with Kate. He looks confident doesn't he?
