Christmas morning

Christmas morning started around 6:00 am for us. Abby and Ethan came knocking on our door ready to open their gifts. As we did last year, we let the younger kids sleep in while the big kids began opening their gifts. It is a little less hectic this way and the little ones get a bit more sleep.  I think it was about an hour later that the younger kids woke up and joined in on the fun.

  Lance and the kids have this cartoon that they absolutely love called Adventure Time. Me on the other hand...not so much of a fan (it says word like butt and fart, Gavin loves that part about it and usually ends up repeating them with his friends) 

Anyways, (half of) Santa surprised Abby (and myself) with lots of Adventure time stuff this year...good ole Santa.  Abby was so happy. I tried to keep my mouth shut.

 Ethan asked for an Ipod touch this year. He was one happy camper Christmas morning.

The one thing Gavin asked for this year was a gum-ball machine. He didn't care if he got anything else, seriously. He had all the gum eaten by 12:00 pm that day. He wasn't satisfied until all of it was gone. It was burning a hole in is hands. 

 Of course, homemade cinnamon rolls were on the list of "must haves".

 

New pj's, new slippers, new candy, new watch, and new clothes.

 We also got this new gamed called Quirckle. Can I just tell you how fun it is? 

 Gavin is Ethan's (and his new ipod) new best friend. He loves playing games with him.  

Emma and Kate both got art kits. They have LOVED them.

Playing with all their Christmas toys. Serious stuff.

We played around and relaxed most of the day. 

It felt so wonderful to just lounge around in our jammies in our nice warm home and snow outside. Later that night, we began packing for our trip to Texas.
