Another crazy week with the Martins. Lance's work has been so busy the past week. He is feeling much more engaged so that is a good thing. Abby has been moving right along with her new schedule. She has been doing a lot of babysitting while she figures out her whole school, Act prep, and work schedule. The little kids are getting ready for Valentine's. We have been getting school boxes ready and filling out individual valentine's for their classes.
Last Saturday we went to a Home Depot kids' workshops. We have gone to several of these and love them. Everything is free and the kids get to use hammers and paint all by themselves. To make things even better we met up with our cousins and then grabbed donuts afterward.
The kids made Valentine's mailboxes.
Surprisingly, Sam was not feeling the hammer. He wanted to sit in the stroller and watch Choo-choo's. I was ok with that since I needed to help the other kiddos and it was kind of crazy. Gavin was so cute. He wanted no help from me. He wanted to do it all by himself and he did!
Look at this very proud group of kids. Talk about a fun morning. No doubt we will be doing this again. The Home Depot is in Roanoke which is halfway between me and my SIL, Ambyr. It was the perfect place to meet up and did I mention there is a Krispey Kreme right next door...
Sunday we had the family over for dinner. It happen to be Superbowl Sunday so there were some that watched that. We also facetimed Grandma and Grandpa on their mission.
We went to the temple with Lance's boss, Perry and his wife Karen. Love living close by the temple.
Gavin and Kate had some friends over after school. So fun that they can all walk home together.
One of my favorite things to do with Sam is to take him for a walk and let him explore. We have nowhere to be and he can take his time. The weather has been great for this.
Look who turned 15 this week.
I took the kids to Target after school so they could pick up some gifts for Ethan using their own money. Let's just say that Ethan should be set for treats over the next few months.
We tried to get a family photo afterwards. Let's just say we took a few. My kids are way more into the silly pics these days. Not sure I will be framing any of them but they are pretty funny. This one is my favorite.
Love watching how happy sam is with his daddy. Time for bed.
